Astronaut 8 – DX-160

Two of the popular short wave radio receivers sold at Radio Shack from the 1970s were the Realistic Astronaut 8 and Realistic DX-160. Short wave listening was fun back in the 1970s when there were many International broadcasters on air. I think many would agree that the DX-160 was one of the more popular radios used by swlers and ham radio operators alike during this period.

A good little talk on two lovely radios. I very nearly brought a 160 a few weeks ago to go at the side of my 394. Great work and 5*
