homebrew shortwave radio, part 1
Homebrew shortwave radio operating from 6 to 17 MHz, with productdetector, so suitable for SSB reception (radioamateurs, FAX, RTTY). A classic superheterodyne (single type) radio with an IF of 455 KHz. Schematic in the book “Retro Radio” (Dutch text), ISBN 978-90-5381-234-1. Thanks! All essential functions for a SW (SSB) receiver are there, though it is a simple receiver. The antenna coil must also be tuned (double tuning) but it is not very difficult to tune in.

It is in my book “Retro Radio”, published by Elektor International media in the Netherlands. It consists of: 1 HF stage, 1 VFO, 1 mixer, 1 IF amplifier + productdetector, 1 BFO (7 transistors, 1 audio amplifier (4 transistors audio).
